Scissor sharpening

  • Bevel edge (German style E.g. Roseline)  
  • Convex edge (Japanese style E.g. Kenchii)
All serrations on scisssors will be preserved if possible, serration can be added upon request

Sharpening:
  • Scissors inspected for set, ride line, cutting type, serration and any apparent damage (please discuss if you have any specific requirements)
  • Scissors dismantled and screws stored safely
  • Scissors cleaned of hair and oil 
  • Ride line checked 
  • Scissors sharpened at appropriate angle 
  • Burr removed
  • Ride line honed
  • Scissors reassembled and tenstion set and oiled
  • Scissors tested, excess oil cleaned and packaged.

Clipper blade sharpening

  • Barber and regular A5 dog grooming clipper blades.
  • Wide dog grooming and equine clipper blades.
  • 5 in 1/ trimmer blades, due to the fine teeth on the cutter they are replaced when sharpening 
Sharpening:
  • All blades are dismantled , bushed and inspected
  • Sharpened with the appropriate hollow or flat ground edge
  • Burr removed
  • Blade washed to clean and disinfect
  • Spring tension adjusted (if necessary)
  • Set back and reassembled (if necessary)
  • Blade tension checked
  • Set back rechecked
  • Blade tested of faux fur, faux hair or real fur
  • Final set check and brush off before packaging 

Clipper servicing

Parts available for most makes and models (please message for availability)

Dog clipper servicing:
  • Clipper initial test for power and cable inspected where appropriate
  • Blade drive, latch and hinge checked and removed
  • Filters removed and cleaned 
  • Clipper case checked for damages, opened 
  • Any build up of hair/grease inside cleaned
  • Electricals inspected including switch and circuit board
  • Motor checked and brushes replaced as necessary
  • New parts changed as needed
  • Clipper reassembled and freshly regreased 
  • Clipper tested with a new blade on faux fur and packaged
